Prayer journaling is a source of peace, purpose, and encouragement. It focuses our mind on what the spirit and heart want to say to God without embellishment or rationalization. It is meant to be real.
Father, I am overwhelmed by Your mercy, Your grace, Your love, and Your purpose.
You are everything that I have and everything that I need. You are my protector, provider, creator, and maker. Because of Your love and only because of Your love, I am.
Your mercies upon my life are great, Your love overwhelms me. You are my light, You show me the way. You are my provider, the provider of everything I need in life, even the air that I breathe, the food that I eat, the love that surrounds even me, and the love that inhabits me. My rest and sleep, my strength, my hunger and desire for You, to know You, to honor You, to glorify You.
All of these, Father, and everything more come direct from You into my heart. I exist because of Your love. I exist because of Your faithfulness to what is in Your heart. Father, I exist in the purpose You have purposed for my life, to honor that which is in Your heart. Show me the way, Father. I thank You for your faithfulness in all things. I love You. I worship You. I adore You.
Holy Spirit, I seek You, that You would put in my mouth the words that Father would have me speak, that You would put into my heart the emotions Father would have me to feel, that You would carry to me the wisdom and understanding Father wishes me to hold that I might be the me He desires. I ask that you carry to me strength to persevere, endure, and overcome that I may be a faithful servant.
I love You, Father. I give myself to You.
Amen
